Faith in Humanity

around lunchtime on Sunday, the 8th of July 2007 by Chad

The human mind is unparalleled in it’s ability to absorb, process, and distribute… crap. And I don’t mean bull crap, which is mostly grass and hay.  I’m talking fed the dog two month old fuzzy leftovers and he’s been squatting for 20 minutes coating whole square footage of the yard crap.

“We’re just asking questions” was the official, voice-over disclaimer. You hear that too from the 9/11 Truth crowd when confronted with the lunacy of their claims. We’re just asking questions… Well, in that vein I’d like to ask some questions myself. Is Michael Moore a serial pedophile? I’m just asking, and I’m sure a lot of my readers would just like to have some questions answered. I heard that Rosie O’Donnell ate a baby at a Satanic Ritual once – is that true? Can you please provide the evidence that this did not in fact happen? Thanks. Who has murdered more hookers: Bill Maher or Charlie Sheen? Come on, you can’t tell me there’s no smoke there. I just want a possible explanation…

I know Bill Whittle posted this a while ago.  But I go back there every once in a while.  And read it over.  Just to make sure I’m not the only sane one left.

Part 1 deconstructs people who invest in bumper stickers.

Iraqi TV has a version of American Idol. Did you know that? They produce hundreds of hours of comedies, game shows - all that stuff. Sounds a little arcane for Iraq, you say? A little normal? That’s because people who believe they are smarter than you have decided that such stories of hope and success do not fit the narrative needed to teach you poor ignorant slobs the lesson that you are supposed to be learning, and that lesson is that George Bush is a murderer while Saddam was a statesman, and that Iraq is a failure fueled by the blood of poor, innocent, child-like soldiers too stupid to realize that they are dying to line the pockets of Halliburton.

Decisions

mid-morning on Sunday, the 8th of July 2007 by Chad

Hit the bank, deposit a check, pick up a folding table loaned out, grocery store, and other errands.

Or enjoy a six pack of Fat Tire, out on the porch, enjoying a nice sunny day.

Live Earth: the concert to CAUSE a Climate Crisis.

around lunchtime on Saturday, the 7th of July 2007 by Tina

How are there people following that idiot Gore anyway?

It is so disturbing Gore’s policy… do as I say, not as I do… or you can buy your way out (like he does!)! And people are buying it, and into it, and out of (their abuse of the environment, like Gore!). (more…)

Happy Birthday Robert Heinlein!

“My mother says that violence never settles anything,” comments one character. A teacher who doubles as Heinlein’s mouthpiece then pounces: “Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.”

Liberals, Conservatives, and Beer

in the early morning on Thursday, the 5th of July 2007 by Chad

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals; and

2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery.

AIM and Monitor window in Internet Explorer

mid-morning on Tuesday, the 3rd of July 2007 by Chad

What the hell is AIM (version 6.1.4.12) doing opening up an IE window called Monitor that just sits on your desktop?  Looks like spyware, etc., but definitely seems to be opened up by the AOL IM client.

Say what you like about the MSN Live Messenger client, it never does crap like that.

Weird Food

just before lunchtime on Sunday, the 1st of July 2007 by Chad

Everyone eats weird foods.  While it isn’t weird to you, to many other people it is.  Some things you know are weird that only you do.  Such as when I pour apple sauce on macaroni and cheese.  You have to eat it right away, because it is the mix between the hot and cold ingredients that make this such a tasty treat.

Others are things that are sold in the grocery store but very few people get.  Such as liverwurst or pimento cheese, which I grew up eating.

Finally, things that are completely normal in one format, but mix or remove ingredients and it is “strange.”  I also grew up eating mayonnaise sandwiches.  Yeah, just a knife full of mayo on bread.  Sure, its just fine when you have lunch meat added.  But by itself this is somehow icky.

What are the weird strange items you’ll stuff down your gullets?

If they haven't followed the law to get here, they are by definition 'illegal.' It's like saying a drug dealer is an 'undocumented pharmacist.
