The commerical shows a cut out of kerry, as a weather vane.
He is against death penalty for terrorists.. the vane changes direction.. he is for the death penalty for terrorists.
He is against a gas price increase.. the vane changes direction.. he is for a gas price increase.
He is against welfare reform.. the vane changes direction.. he is for welfare reform..
you see the spinning kerry weather vane as the announces asks how many times can kerry change his mind?
“The answer is blowing in the wind”
I love it… the comedy, honesty.. and a toot to kerry’s anti war period after he returned from his “honorable” stint in Vietnam. (more…)

Captain’s Quarters is a great new blog I’ve found via the Corner.
A fellow Cap’n on the right, it is great commentary.
One current post fires broadsides into Kerry’s claims about his VietNam experiences:
By way of further example, Kerry wrote an article for the Boston Herald on October 14, 1979:
“I remember spending Christmas Eve of 1968 five miles across the Cambodian border being shot at by our South Vietnamese allies who were drunk and celebrating Christmas. The absurdity of almost killed by our own allies in a country in which President Nixon claimed there were no American troops was very real.”
…
Here’s a fun fact for those who think that Kerry told the truth and the Swiftvets are just dishonorable (and highly decorated) veterans trying to grab some attention to themselves — Nixon wasn’t President in 1968. Sure, he’d been elected in November, but he didn’t take office until 1969, and it would be highly unlikely that Nixon would have been pontificating about military deployments over which he had no control. Nixon hadn’t even been in government for eight years.

The Villiage Voice blathers about how the Democrats are running an honest campaign except that have to be on guard against the eeeevil Republicans.
If the New Dems, who appear to be running Kerry’s campaign, think they have transformed him into a Clinton centrist, they may not have taken into consideration the Republican Party’s probable sinewy strategy. The GOP might suddenly downplay its right-wing Christians and bring to center stage its own version of moderation: war heroes John McCain and Bob Dole, both of them tastefully reticent about their war experiences (certainly in comparison to Kerry); Rudy Giuliani, the hero of 9-11; and Arnold Schwarzenegger. And if he is a good boy, Colin Powell.
If he’s a good boy?
Can you imagine if a right wing magazine had called any person of color or minority a “good boy”?
The outrage would be unbelievable. There would be public calls for beheadings. At least castrations.
But no. Once again, because the liberal media sets the rules, they can feel free to ignore them at will.

For those of you into guns and computers, we have a Wi-Fi ’sniper rifle’ that mounts a 14.6 dBi Yagi antenna to get your 802.11b signal up to 10 miles.
I wouldn’t recommend using this for wardriving. Cool factor high, common sense factor low.
Although the local law enforcement types might complain a little, this would make a great prop in a low budget sci fi flick.
This does help show the fact that the wireless technology is very flexible. You can have an access point high on a pole or a hill somewhere, and support users for miles around.
Do you have a few separated buildings that you can’t wire between them? Just get the normal directional antennas that are sold in the computer stores now and mount them in windows facing each other. I’ve been supporting a configuration like this for years and it works great.
Object-oriented programming is frustrating. I like my code like I like my women... top-down, easy-to-read, and no bugs.
