Obama Scraping Bottom.

Well there is hope for the intelligence & sanity of the American people, even those who had the tragic error of voting for the worst joke to enter the white house.. correction, the two worst jokes (since Obama proved his poor decision making by choosing Biden as his VP).
Obama’s 47 Percent Approval Lowest of Any President at This Point
By Bill Sammon
– FOXNews.com
President Obama’s job approval rating has fallen to 47 percent in the latest Gallup poll, the lowest ever recorded for any president at this point in his term.
Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and even Richard Nixon all had higher approval ratings 10-and-a-half months into their presidencies. Obama’s immediate predecessor, President George W. Bush, had an approval rating of 86 percent, or 39 points higher than Obama at this stage. Bush’s support came shortly after he launched the war in Afghanistan in response to the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said he doesn’t "put a lot of stock" in the survey by Gallup, which has conducted presidential approval polls since 1938, longer than any other organization.
"If I was a heart patient and Gallup was my EKG, I’d visit my doctor," Gibbs said in response to questions from Fox. "I’m sure a six-year-old with a Crayon could do something not unlike that. I don’t put a lot of stake in, never have, in the EKG that is daily Gallup trend. I don’t pay a lot of attention to the meaninglessness of it."
No shock there, that his press secretary does not trust polls. Now for me the polls do give me hope in America & Americans!!
Gallup Editor-in-Chief Frank Newport responded: "Gibbs said that if Gallup were his EKG, he would visit his doctor. Well, I think the doctor might ask him what’s going on in his life that would cause his EKG to be fluctuating so much. There is, in fact, a lot going on at the moment — the health care bill, the jobs summit, the Copenhagen climate conference and Afghanistan."
The new low comes as Obama struggles to overhaul the nation’s health care system and escalates America’s involvement in the Afghanistan war. He is also presiding over a deep and prolonged recession, with unemployment at 10 percent.
"There’s no doubt Obama’s 47 percent is mainly a result of the continuing bad economy," said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics. "But there is also a growing concern about government spending and debt, and a sense that Obama is trying to do too much, too soon."
Obama trying “to do too much, too soon”? Really.. what has he done so far beside blame, complain and spend?
He added: "President Obama has reason to be concerned about his ratings. Even in tough times, presidents have usually been able to stay above the critical 50 percent mark in the first year, when the public is most inclined to give the new incumbent the benefit of the doubt."
Obama officials have not always shown disdain for Gallup. During last year’s presidential campaign, Obama adviser David Plouffe, trumpeted "the latest Gallup poll" to reporters because it showed that 53 percent of Americans did not find Obama Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, "trustworthy."
Gee Obama’s team was for the polls when it was to their benefit, but do not trust it now that it shows Obama in a negative light? Wow, gee, golly.. shock.. (snicker).
When Gallup began taking presidential approval polls 71 years ago, Franklin Roosevelt had been president for more than five years. During his remaining time in office, his job approval rating never fell below 48 percent.
The next 11 presidents, both Democrats and Republicans, all had higher job approval ratings than Obama at this stage of their tenure. Their ratings were:
– George W. Bush, 86 percent
– Bill Clinton, 52 percent
– George H.W. Bush, 71 percent
– Ronald Reagan, 49 percent
– Jimmy Carter, 57 percent
– Gerald Ford, 52 percent
– Richard Nixon, 59 percent
– Lyndon Johnson, 74 percent
– John Kennedy, 77 percent
– Dwight Eisenhower, 69 percent
– Harry Truman, 49 percentThe poll is an average of a three-day tracking of 1,529 adults taken Dec. 4-6. It has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

I still can’t get over how the public bought into the Dumbobama debacle. At election time, Democrats had snowed the people into blaming Republicans and Conservatives for the bad shape of the country (which was nowhere near as bad BEFORE election time). Bush does nothing right, Bush is evil, Bush has low approval ratings, etc.
And right there in black and white, Democrat-controlled Congress has lower approval ratings than Bush. Hey, here’s a great idea! Let’s elect another DEMOCRAT, that gang with the tiny approval rating because we’re not happy with them, into the presidency!
And people wonder why I have a dim view of the people’s “wisdom”.

Stormbringer.. DITTO!!!!! Too well said for anything more to add.. just DITTO!

hey guys, put down your crayons!!! I bet you wanted to prolong slavery too!!
This morning I read a related article.
http://cnsnews.com/commentary/article/58263
It is about the numbers, and the Dems claim that they are driven by racism. Because all complaints about Obama are clearly racist in origin.
“In the black community, his support has actually increased, from 90 percent to 91 percent.
“The fact is that it isn’t the racism of the white community that explains President Obama’s plummeting job approval—the skyrocketing deficit, unemployment rate and inflation take care of that. It’s the racism of the black community that explains his approval rating’s continued buoyancy.
“How can blacks truly approve of Obama more highly than they did when he was elected? The black unemployment rate is 15.6 percent today, as opposed to 11.9 percent in December 2008, over 50 percent higher than the white unemployment rate. There is no rhyme or reason to the continued support for a man who has driven the economy off the rails.”
Whenever I bump into someone who still is happy with Obama, I question their sanity. And, since I live in libland….
December 9th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Katie, do you tell the libtards that their party is the one that fought against civil rights acts and also wanted slavery? Lincoln was a Republican!
December 9th, 2009 at 3:47 pm
It is amazing how many libs forget that Lincoln was a Republican. Look at Harry Reid, just this week, stating that anti-healthcare people were like pro-slavers…
Gee, Harry, which party are you for?
Or that the Dems were the ones against civil rights?
Or that Sen. Robert Byrd (D) was in the KKK?
December 9th, 2009 at 4:59 pm
Oh good calls guys..
Katie definitely part of the problem is how the blacks are embracing Obama.. and for what.. nothing more than his skin. Yet white people the reason we are repulsed is due to his utter ineptness, his complete and absolute inability, the face that he should never have been elected President of the US.. now perhaps the President of Cuba or something like that, but not the US.
I do love how the main chant does revolve around, that those who disapprove are no doubt racist. I figured that would be the case when he was running, and so not terribly shocked, though i am sickened by it all.. it just is insane, and proves THEIR ignorance..
Stormbringer good call also on the fact that those who fought to free the slaves, and get civil rights were the republicans. again.. just proves THEIR ignorance.
frustrating isn’t it?
