Note the Concern of Your Rulers

mid-morning on Wednesday, the 12th of August 2009 by Katie

Serious, did anyone bother to teach Ms. Lee any manners?  Could she show her disdain for her constituents any more clearly than she did right there?

Michelle Malkin has more comments and links.

UPDATE:  Rep. Lee states that she was only calling the healthcare hotline, so that she could more adequately answer a question.

Interestingly enough though, this phone conversation caught on video occurred during the SECOND question of the meeting.  Does she really think we are that gullible?

    wow.. that was beyond rude.

I hate cell phones, and this is one of the reasons… just how rude people can be with them.
was this a surprise conference? I am doubting it, so she should have tucked her phone away and given her full attention & respect.

There is NO ONE THAT Important that NEEDS a cell phone with them 24/7.. when I see people walking & talking, driving & talking, shopping & talking, why?? why do they need to be on the freaking phone all the time?

I want phones corded to walls again, I want people to have to go through an operator to connect.

The ONLY people who would need to be contacted immediately are emergency personel, and only for a short duration, in a life or death situation.

NOT politicians, not mom or dad, not an insurance sales person, not a realtor, not a shop clerk, not a gas attendent.. get the idea.. NO ONE (aside from emergency workers) would NEED to be connected.. they are the ONLY ones we should look up to, not some sleazy politican..

how on earth a politician can think they are so above others to act like this piece of trash is beyond me!

What really bothers me is that we now seem to have a ruling elite that clearly believe that they are above us all.

Look at the healthcare bill. Why did the specifically exempt themselves? If their new system is truly so wonderful, wouldn’t they be first in line?

I am tired of the condescension. I am tired of the “nose in the air” attitude that our employees have for us. When do the “servants” get better stuff?

Remember, Reid famously complained about the smell of the tourists in the summer. Can you imagine if Bush let that one out?

These politicians, who claim to be working for us, clearly look down on us.

We need term limits. We need an end to lobbists. We need for our representatives to answer to us, and not to the UAW, SEIU, GE, ABA, etc.

Just today, I read an article stating that Reid will push through the bill, regardless of the opposition. When our government fails to notice the increasingly angry tenor of its citizens we start heading down a very scary path.

Truth be told, we are broke. We cannot afford their plan, even if it were a good idea. They are printing money to pay down the debt. Who thinks that is a good idea?
