Maybe the Idiots In Washington Didn’t Get the Memo

I’m sure that Washington hasn’t heard this yet, but unemployment figures are rising at an alarming rate.
I have reasons to believe that they haven’t gotten this memo, including:
The federal minimum wage is set to increase on July 24 to $7.25. Does anyone honestly believe that when they were 16 year old pups, on their first job, they did $7.25 worth of work? The truth is, employers expect to get their money’s worth out of their employees. If the job is not worth the money, the job will disappear.
And then there is the Healthcare fiasco bill in Congress.
It includes the following:
The House is also proposing a mandate on Americans above a certain income level: People would be penalized as much as 2.5 percent of their income for failure to buy health insurance. Most employers would be required to insure their employees or pay a penalty equal to as much as 8 percent of their payroll.
Health insurance is not like car insurance. The right to drive a car is not in the Constitution. However, most of us (except the unborn) still have the right to life. You shouldn’t have to buy insurance just because you live….
Well, we have the right to life, until the science czar gets his way…
And just in case you still had a job after the increase in minimum wage, the government want to make you even more unaffordable. Your employer will be required to purchase health insurance for you, or face a stiff penalty.
Finally, add in the toll for the Crap and Trade bill.
It makes me wonder, who is the gov working for? China and India? Seems to me, our new laws will boost their employment figures.

Katie.. I agree.. this is simply another nail in the coffin.. what thought process is involved? how on earth can they see mandating health care as a good idea? even if we were not in a horrible economic situation.. this would be a wreckless, and insane idea.
Examples of such a bad decision..
go to a Home Depot, where the check out staff are being replaced by self-check out stations.
There are restaurants that have the illusion of a sit down dining establishment.. but are an order at the counter and eat off paper plates .. eliminating wait staff, bus-staff, dishwashers.. etc..
mandating health insurance will simply crush more small business owners.. but apparently obama has had it “in” for small business since day one, he keeps coming up with ways to kill them off…
so what other disasterous actions will obama come up with or endorse next?
he is trying to destroy this country! and doing a darn good job at it!
