The arrogance of man. Earth has a variable climate. We’ve had ice ages and warming periods. Since before the age of man.
Cave men with their little camp fired did not end the ice age.
I’d blame the sun. Varying degrees of activity and inactivity. How else to explain the fact that Mars is warming also? Unless you believe that the carbon from my SUV is escaping our atmosphere, flying through weightless space, ending up on Mars, and melting their ice.
But, too many self-haters choose to believe that they somehow caused “global warming”, and henceforth, they can somehow fix it.
And too many government officials are all to happy to prey on that weakness, and abuse it. Tax it. Warp it. They want money and they want power. And all too many people are perfectly willing to give it to them.
And, I’d love to let those suckers get what they richly deserved. But, they want to drag us all down with them.
And now we find out that the Obamamessiah is seriously considering “fixing” the climate.
I guess he’s read his press reviews, also.
AP Newsbreak: Obama looks at climate engineering.
The president’s new science adviser said Wednesday that global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth’s air.
John Holdren told The Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort.
Great, Obama with a god complex (gee, what’s new?). What peeves me off the most is that they are perfectly willing to take each and every man, woman, and child down with their seriously misguided attempts.
Let’s be honest, name one thing that the gov has actually improved once they’ve gotten their greedy little hands on it.

Wow, this is some scary stuff (expletive deleted). Global warming has its root cause in pollution. Let’s stop global warming by adding more pollution to the atmosphere? That makes perfect sense. This is actually more frightening than Obama’s financial plan for the country(world).
One thing I do not understand is why politicos only listen to the doomsayers on global warming and not the more level headed scientists with actual facts about what can and cannot be done to affect change in the climate?

Actually, this idea terrifies me. When Krakatoa blew in the 1800′s, the ash cloud affected the weather of the entire planet for years. They still think that an asteroid strike, throwing huge amounts of dust into the atmosphere had something to do with the diminshment of the dinosaurs.
And now we are to trust a bunch of pencil pushers to somehow “get it right”?
And the sad fact of the environmental movement, is that despite the best of some of their intentions, the cure is worse the the illness.
Take those horrid screwy lightbulbs. They might last longer. But, they have mercury in them. Once they start filling landfills (they last longer, but not forever), the mercury will enter the soil. Suddenly, they won’t look so great.
Or the stupid “Earth Hour”. Actually consummed more energy than it saved. And think of all the carbon the candles they lit during “Earth Hour” created.
And now they want to throw up trash into the atmosphere, in an unresearched (there actually is no way to really know what will happen) and misguided attempt.
For some reason, brings the Highlander to mind. Global shield that eventually ruined everything. (really bad movie)
