I admit, some of the Obama gaffes remind me of some former co-workers.  Making gaffes because of a lack of education, or caring, or a superiority complete (or a bit of all).  My former co-workers were sent to Ireland to open an office (what would have been a trip of a lifetime for me, if only I could have gone).  When they came back they complained.  The power outlets were wrong (evidently no one knew that they should bring a power adapter).  The Irish girls stank (again, no one knew that bathing standards vary, and that Americans are derisively called “squeaky clean).  And the Irish girls wore the same outfit all week (it probably was not the same outfit, but possibly two similar/same outfits, these were Irish farm girls, who lived it town for weekdays, and went home on the weekends).

The Obamas act the same way as my co-workers.  The famous “reset” button.  The DVD gift to Brown, of 25 movies that everyone has probably seen repeatedly, and formatted for the wrong region.

And now the Obamas meet the Queen, and give her an Ipod.  Wow, that took a lot of thought.  What do they do, stop at a department store on the way to Airforce One and pick up the closest trinket?
