Which Party Would You Want To Go To – the One That Includes Steak on the Barbeque or the One that Is Held in the Dark?

in the early afternoon on Tuesday, the 24th of March 2009 by Katie

There is an hour of competitive “holidays” coming up.

March 28, 2009 at 8:30 (your local time) is the big start.

So, which will it be for you – Earth Hour – which is evidently celebrated by turning off all of your lights, turning down your heat, turning off our TV, sitting around in the dark trying to make out figures that are feet away from your face, all while freezing – or Human Achievement Hour – a celebration of our humanity – throw a big fat juicy steak on your charcoal grill, turn on your lights, enjoy your music, drive your nice car, and enjoy being alive.

This year, the environuts have added the following:  “This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming.”

Gee, I wonder which way I’ll vote?

Only a couple of days to plan for the “big hour”.  I have to make sure that I have plenty of dead cow (remember cow farts are causing global warming), beer (I’m sure that they are against that, too, after all think of all the refrigeration that it takes), non-screwy lightbulbs, and I think that I’ll let the kids play Wii, all while I bake cookies with my gas oven,…

(Too bad they didn’t have “Earth Hour” during Obama’s latest plea to the country, that would really have left the nutters in a quandary.)

we have alot of lights in this house.. hum with this kind of idiotic stunt, i wonder if there will be a black out from (all of us who turn on everything we have) all of us opposed to the eco-freak stupidity? mmmm smell the steaks a grillin’ now.. but just grilling that might be too ‘eco-friendly.. perhaps we should use our stoves, and make one kabob at a time?

  2. Katie Says:

Actually, they don’t like grills. Some ecofreak towns have even banned the things. So – grill away.

  3. tina Says:

Ok.. as long as the grills are not approved by eco-freaks, i will feel comfortable continuing to enjoy them.

Hum.. what the heck do they approve of anyhow? Oh right,.. death to all humans.. seriously they need to lead by example there.. show us the way eco-freaks (grin)
