Michelle Malkin has a link to the amendment on her site.

I’m not seeing much “moderation” in the amendment.  Is there any sane person left in Washington?

I can’t look at more, at this point.  I’ve only gotten through 45 pages of a 778 page document.  My eyes are shooting blood, and I need to find some duct tape to wrap around my head before it explodes….

Our Government after their huge feeding frenzy of a stimulus package.

I won’t debate the value of some of the programs as they may be good and even necessary. However, I still fail to see where any of the listed items is going to stimulate the economy. When will someone explain how this spending actually will increase jobs? Combine this with the expected second TARP of one or two trillion and the chosen one will have spent more than 4 times the cost of the war on terror.

Barney Frank explained the jobs part, saying that any spending on any program would increase jobs. He was specifically talking about the STD prevention program, saying that money towards this would create jobs, educating about STD’s.

My biggest problem is that the till is already empty. We do not have the money. The dems are using our tax dollars to buy votes. The more people they have addicted to the dole, the more votes they secure.

I am tired of paying for everyone else. Why are people getting refunds, when they didn’t even pay taxes (how do you not pay taxes? I’ve been paying since I was 16, on my “rich” job that I got $3.15 an hour…) I am tired of all the special interests with their hands out. I am tired of paying for idiots who procreate with abandon, with no way to support them (the Octoplet mom springs to mind).

Barney Frank is so full of poo that it oozes out of his ears. Spending does not increase jobs. Oh sure there will be construction projects and such, but how many new jobs will be created? More educators for STD’s? How many do we possibly need? That is a low income job designed to get someone off of welfare, not provide a real job. If you want to stimulate jobs, you need incentive in the private sector to expand. That means lower business taxes. It means banks have to be able to make loans to those businesses.

If they want to really help, take care of the mortgage problems. The banks can go back to doing their business. DO what McCain was calling for during his campaign, buy up the baqd mortgages and refinance them so people can afford them again.

If Obama wants to really help the middle class, let’s not talk about lowering just income tax, but all the other taxes we pay. Get rid of the multiple taxes and surtaxes and taxes on surtaxes that we pay on our bills. Lower the gas tax. I’d love to see the sales tax around here lowered, but that is state and county. Lower FICA and all the thousands of taxes we pay. That would stimulate the economy, not an increase in federal jobs.

You know what the chain of command is? It’s the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who’s in ruttin’ command here.
