Interpreting Obama’s Ideas…
mid-afternoon on Tuesday, the 28th of October 2008 by Gypsy
I don’t hit Michelle Malkin’s site enough.. I think I would be in perpetual pain from laughing or screaming from the human stupidity she finds (I know not a huge feat to find stupidity out there, but ooh she gets some of the best stuff.. thank you Michelle!).
I found a goodie on her site talking about one of my HUGE peeves about this election.. the whiny folks out there screaming racism at everything.. things that simply do not even relate.. heck kill a mosquito they would scream racism.. it just amazes me how they don’t start laughing when they pull that crap?
For months, the Obamedia has detected racist “code” in every utterance, gesture, and wardrobe choice of conservatives and Republicans who have dared to oppose The One. Community organizer = racist. Wearing white = racist. Criticizing ACORN = racist. “That one” = racist. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
It’s time to flip the script and use a decoder ring on Obama’s words. Today in Ohio, the Spreader of Wealth will deliver his “closing argument.” His vow: To “restore” a “higher purpose.”
I loved the image they had too.. boy does this capture Obama in all his socialist glory..
Since we have all heard, intentional or not, the typical canned verbiage that Obama has spewed.. I am just going to capture the gems Michelle wrote..
“Change We Need” = Less change in your pocket.
“New politics” = old, failed redistributionist politics.
“Obligations…to…one another” = From each according to his ability…
“A role to play” = You pay.
“Higher purpose” = “Reparative economic work” and “redistributive change.”
Is the message getting through yet?
Michelle Malkin » Obama’s “higher purpose” = code for wealth redistribution

I hear that Obama is talking about digging up FDR’s “Second Bill of Rights”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_bill_of_rights
These include the following “rights”:
The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;
The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;
The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;
The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;
The right of every family to a decent home;
The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;
The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;
The right to a good education.
Hmmmm how about these rights?
The right to get off your butt and get a job.
The right to fail.
The rights of your children to have a parent that gives a crap.
The rights of your children to have a parent who does their darndest to succeed in life.
The right of the government to deny you any form of welfare until you can prove that you have already graduated from High School (ie, no additional benefits to someone who fails to take advantage of the FREE education that this government already provides).

what is the point of WORKING… Obama’s communist/socialist ideals are horrifying!
If everyone has a RIGHT to a decent home.. that is what fueled the current foreclosure issue..
People have the RIGHT to what they have EARNED & Acheived.. not what the government says everyone should have..
What about Employers have the RIGHT to CHOOSE the CORRECT/BEST employee? They have the RIGHT to have someone RESPONSIBLE & HARDWORKING!
The ideas Obama has definitely seem to oppose everything America stands for, was built on, and what made this country great!
ARGHHHH

Here is the best way to disarm an Obama supporter on these economic “redistribution” issues.
First- point out to them that there is no soy-based substitute for hard work and making prudent choices.
Second- take a trick from the Socialist’s playbook and “personalize” the discussion. Who can wrap their minds around economic policy? Not your average Obamanite with a 5-second attention span. Remember, these folks are not about substance. Rather, its all about an initial emotional reaction- one that is never developed in any meaningful way by deeper reflection on the subject. How do we “personalize” the discussion you ask? Ask them to think of the friend/family member they know who is one welfare or food stamps whose life is a wreck because of the awful choices they made. Everyone knows such a figure. This is the aunt/nephew/sister-in-law etc. who is lazy and tries to “game” the system. In their purest form, this figure makes one disastrous decision after another and never takes any personal responsibility for them or for their situation. We all know one, or more, of the persons I’m describing.
Third- ask if this is a sympathetic figure? Will more gov’t money really make their life *better* or rather will it increase their own dependency and facilitate further poor choices and refusals to take accountability in the future. Ask- is this a person who needs more from your hard work and tax dollars? Most folks would instinctively say no.
Good policies, in a Republic, should foster personal accountability and individual (and family) autonomy. The Obamassiah’s polices, on the other hand, are designed to encourage and foster dependence on government and a lack of personal accountability. The cup the welfare state offers is a poisoned chalice.
