I have to say, that after all the hue and cry about Gwen Ifill as the choice to moderate the debate, she ended up doing a fine job on lat night’s debate.
And it’s funny how using the name of Obama in her title makes her somehow incapable of doing her job. Believe me, there are journalists and scholars on the right who will also use the term “Age of Obama” to describe this particular racial and political moment, whether he wins or not.

The cartoons, as always, are dead-on.
It wasn’t just the use of the name Obama in the title of her book that made her questionable. It was her warm and loving articles about Obama and family, her attitude regarding Palin’s appearance at the convention, the financial windfall that her book might acrue if Obama wins, to name just a few problems with the choice of Ifill.
But the debate is done, both sides have their claims to victory, nothing has changed…
