Let me start today with an interesting article written by David Limbaugh.

Mr. Limbaugh does a great job reminding us about Obama’s liberalism, which has been largely overlooked and underreported by the media, including his support of the “Global Poverty Act” (Obama sponsored a bill in Feb 2008, it would “result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations. “).

He also reminds us that Obama chose to launch his state Senate campaign in the house of William Ayers.

And, at this time of bailouts and the failures of Freddie and Fannie, let us not forget that Sen. Obama has received well over one hundred thousand dollars from the two in donations.  In fact, as this chart illustrates, Obama has received the second largest amount of donations (second only to Dodd), from the time frame of 1989 to 2008 – despite the fact that Obama has only been in the Senate since 2005.

Another interesting bit of information about Obama, which again has been largely ignored, is that Obama has long ties with ACORN.  Obama was one of ACORN’s attorneys and has trained ACORN’s leaders.  Interestingly enough, ACORN has, in part, caused many of the banking failures and problems.  ACORN has forced banks to make risky loans.  They pushed for legislation that denied the banks the right to require “racist” items (for proof of eligibility for a mortgage), such as credit history, proof of employment, proof of income, etc.  ACORN has protested at banks that they deem “racist” in their lending policies.  They have also taken their protests to the bank employees’ own homes, picketed outside these homes, and threatening the families (including the children) of these bank employees.

ACORN has been widely accused of voter fraud.  They are currently scooping up homeless people in Ohio, a state which by some quirk in the law allows “one stop shopping” for voting – allowing people to register and pick up an absentee ballot at the same time.  They have famously registered dead people in the past.  A google search “acorn voter fraud” pulls up 172,000 hits. 

And now, it is being reported that Obama’s campaign has paid an off-shoot of ACORN over $800,000.  Evidently, the situation was originally misreported by the Obama campaign, and “An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. — a subsidiary of ACORN — worked in “get-out-the-vote” projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.

“But, said Blair Latoff, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee: “Barack Obama’s failure to accurately report his campaign’s financial records is an incredibly suspicious situation that appears to be an attempt to hide his campaign’s interaction with a left-wing organization previously convicted of voter fraud. For a candidate who claims to be practicing ‘new’ politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the ‘old-style’ Chicago politics of yesterday.”

Another interesting “tid-bit” about ACORN, is that they have somehow found themselves in the middle of the bailout bill.  As reported by Michelle Malkin, “the Mother of All Bailouts includes a reported $100 million more in funding for the left-wing housing entitlement thugs and heavily tax-subsidized fraudsters at ACORN. Under the original bailout proposal, apparently, a large portion of any repayment of the $700 billion would go to Barack Obama’s good friends at ACORN with a smaller allocation to debt repayment. Readers heard him say it was 20 percent.”  An update further stated:  ““Senator Graham is referring to Section 5 of the Dodd counter-proposal to the Paulson Plan. To summarize, it promises a minimum 20% of the ‘profits’ from the Treasury’s sale of assets to The Housing Trust Fund and the Capital Magnet Fund.” See here.”

Yet all of this seems to be largely ignored by the “Main Street Media”.  The press seems to have picked our next President, it remains to be seen if the American people follow….
