Thursday’s Grins..

I worked for an insurance company once.. and yep this is about how it works..
ENJOY MORE…..
Doesn’t this cartoon say it all.. irresponsible home-buyers.. (errgh)
Dear Obama [spit] Hugging Hippies…
I love this one.. 401k-put (caput).. definitely the out come of choosing Obama [spit].. as benefits will go away, prices will go up.. and this country will be destroyed!
The Obama [spit] vs Palin comparisons amuse me, and I am not alone.. this cartoon is so cute.. weighing Obama [spit] (presidential candidate) vs Palin (VP candidate).. and says Obama [spit] is slightly more qualified to be VP.. hee.. (I disagree.. but it is a great slap to him).

Hey - I resemble the first cartoon (well, partly at least, I’m not a balding, overweight man in a suit).
Althought, the insurance company isn’t always to blame. I have seen way too much fraud relating to meds in both of my most recent jobs.
And here is the “really bad” part. Medicare. Can I stop pulling my hair out about Medicare.
In “normal, corporate world” insurance - if you get a claim with a possible accident diagnosis, the first thing that you do is investigate. You have to determine if the accident is payable under other insurance (auto, homeowners, etc.).
Not with Medicare. Medicare pays immediately, and then MIGHT find out later that they have mispaid. The average turnaround on this - 9 months. That is 9 months from the time that the attorney (who has the auto accident claim) notifies Medicare (it is his responsibility to tell Medicare, Medicare does no investigating on it’s own) for Medicare to tell the attorney how much they want the attorney to get back for them.
And then it is the doctors. The doctors actually “sit on” double payments. One from the auto insurance and one from Medicare. They wait until Medicare requests the money back, before they refund Medicare. The reason? If they return money to Medicare before Medicare requests it, Medicare doesn’t know what to do with it, and usually sends it right back to the provider.
And all this is with YOUR tax dollars.
Now, if Medicare can’t get their act together, why would we ever think that nationalized healthcare would be a good idea????
OOOpss, completely off topic again, aren’t I?
