More from the "lib" intelligentsia
mid-afternoon on Friday, the 12th of September 2008 by Katie
More comments about the Republican ticket from our Hollywood “smartie pants”. (see previous comment on Matt Damon)
Pam Anderson just reeks of class when asked to comment about Sarah Palin.
And then on “The View” today, McCain bravely stepped in…
Whoopi to McCain: Do you want me to be a slave again?
Now why do the Republicans even subject themselves to these interviews? Didn’t they watch as the “View” women drooled all over Obama? Did he expect “fair” treatment?
Look at Palin’s interview with Charlie Gibson. Could he have been any more condescending? And the supposedly “live” interview was retooled for West Coast viewing. Gets you thinking…

I was thinking about about the whole Matt Damon spew.
That means that somewhere there is a news editor that made the decision that he would publish such crap.
That editor is one of two things:
An absolute moron. He truly feels that it is important that people know! People must know about what Matt Damon said, for surely this will change the election!
A calculating businessman. Why? Because he knows that there are many morons out there who will read this coverage and say “if Obama is good enough for Matt Damon, he’s good enough for me. That way I don’t ever have to think.”
It’s like that bumper sticker, “Vote Democrat! It’s Easier Than Having To Think!”

I want that bumper sticker.
Unfortunately, I think the answer to your above theory is the latter of the two. Too many people seem to depend on what the celebs say. Also, they have a “I heard it on TV, it must be true” attitude.
I still can’t get my head around Damon ranting about dinosaurs living 4K years ago. Was he saying that they were, and Palin denies this? Was he saying that Palin believes this (and I want the audio on that before I believe it). Was he using his “logic” by thinking 1) Palin is a practicing Christian, 2) some minor elements of the Christian community think that the Earth is 6K years old, therefore 3) Palin must believe dinosaurs were around 4K years ago.
And what does any of that have to do with having the nuke button?

Katie you hit the nail on the head what does “matt damons” statements have anything to do with the presidency?? they simply don’t.
now there could be another angle of this devious editor.. perhaps he is a master mind and figured if someone asbrain dead as matt damon supports obama then… ok i know pipe dream.. sorry! hee !
so Pamela Anderson is being looked to as a sourse, seriously.. oh my gosh they are really truly campaigning to the lowest common denominator eh?
Whoopi.. you know i do want to back track intime and see her as a slave.. she would have been horse whipped to death for her mouth! Ahh simpler times.. (wink)
