What is wrong with people who carry a baby to term, then throw it away??
Of course most of these cases are teen mothers.. but that does not make the situation better, it is horrible that teens get pregnant in any case.. heck they should not even be having sex! But for them to disconnect and just toss their child.. when they are still a child themselves.
How screwed up will they be when they become adults as tossing out their baby will come back to haunt them in their future?
Now the talk right now is about Palin’s daughter being pregnant.. she is not having an abortion, she is not even giving her child up for adoption.. and the most important she told her mother of her pregnancy.. she did not hide it.. and she is not tossing her baby away! Yes she should not have been having sex as a teen.. but thankfully she is taking responsibility for her choice, and she did talk to her mother about it.
There are allot more teen pregnancies than there have been in a long-long time… somehow the information is not getting to these kids, and it obviously is very much needed. But what disturbs me most are the girls who hide the pregnancy, and even worse throw away their babies!
What can be done to help these kids and obviously the parents need help too.. ?? Something needs to be done to break this horrible and sad trend!

OK, I know that I’m beating a dead horse with this - but I’ve got to point out this -
Obama supports abortion language that would allow a doctor to kill / deny treatment to a live born child, born during an abortion procedure.
So, how is a mom, doing the same thing, by abandoning her child / denying treatment to the child, so much different than the above abortion language? The MD after her name?
Sad to say, I think that this type of a thing happened throughout history. It is just getting air time now. But, our children are also being raised with a “me first” attitude. And I’m sure that an upexpected pregnancy probably doesn’t mesh with that philosophy.
Not that I am advocating any of this. Murder is murder. They should go to their parents. They should go to their school counselors. They should go to their priest. They should drop the babies off at these baby drop places set up at hospitals and police station….

I think either case is horrible.. a living child should not be aborted.. then murdered, and a mother who hides her pregnancy should not just give birth and toss her baby aside.
any person who would go to term, or deliver a living baby, should be able to hand that child over to child services.. and let that child have a good home and a family who wants a child have one.
so for me there is no excuse for that crap.
history, no doubt women were scared and killed their babies in history.. but this is not that time period, there is no excuse for that now.. there were not alot of options and yet alot of punishments for women in history.. again not that time anymore. so no excuse.
so yepper i am with your final statement thereof the mother’s options.. they do have options and this should not even be an issue! sigh huh?
