Is Biden exaggerating, again?

Anyone how has paid attention to the conventions is now aware that Biden’s first wife and infant daughter died in a horrible car crash.
Biden has talked about the accident, frequently. He has implied that the other driver was drinking. Basically that the man (who died in 1999) drank a liquid lunch.
But is that true?
Even the Delaware News Journal, stated that the accident investigators never found ANY evidence that the other driver had been drinking.
So why is Biden misstating the facts of that horrid accident? Probably because it makes a better story. Instead of stating the facts – that his wife had stopped at the stop sign, started making a turn, and that another vehicle, traveling down the other road (with no stop sign), hit her vehicle as it turned. Tragic accident. She had been Christmas shopping, she had three kids in the car, she was probably exhausted. And a tragic accident occurred.
But now, Biden is declaring that the other driver, who is dead and cannot defend himself, was drunk. And that driver’s kids are left to try to defend their father’s memory.

Naw really.. Biden stretching/embellishing/lying? naw, that would never happen? grin!
Now when he was even running for president, i was freaking out and worrying.. I am still thankfully he backed out (due to lack of interest in voters).. my hope is that having him with Obama would/will drag Obama down.. and squash his chances..
the more Biden talks the more I hope people will know the truth and turn from that mistake of a duo!

The sad thing is – the story of this accident is a tragic one. It does not need any further embellishment. But, Biden still has to load it on, purposely slandering a man, since dead, who cannot defend himself. Causing his children to question their dad, defend their dad, and be embarrassed.
As we all know, DE is a small state. Most of us either know someone in DE, or know of someone who knows that person. So, the kids of the other driver are known to people. And now they have to live down “your drunk dad killed the sainted soul that was Biden’s (St. Biden, that is) first wife.
The man was never charged with anything. Somehow, I think that if there was the slightest chance that he was guilty of anything, he would have been slammed. It was, after all, the wife and child of a US Senator that was killed. So, I’m sure that there was a full investigation.
And, Biden was an attorney. Statute of Limitations in DE is 2 years. If there was anything that he could have sued the other guy for, he would have (that is what attorneys do, after all). And I’m sure that when the grief was past and the children recovered, there was plenty of time to sue…
The sad truth is, it was probably the dead wife’s fault (and in truth, probably just an horrible accident – they are accidents after all, not on purposes). The wife did not have right of way. She was stopped at a stop sign. For some reason, she proceeded to take a turn. Unfortunately, there was someone traveling down that road (with right of way) who struck her. There was no evidence that the guy was speeding. There was no evidence that the guy was drunk. She made a horrible, tragic, human error, in all probability…
