Ok once there was a game called “lawn-darts”.. gone because it was found dangerous..

NOW.. we may lose fair-food like “steak on a stick”.. and other favorites..

This article is not threatening that.. but come’on if it makes a news story you know what is next? Some hungry lawyer, dying for a yummy law suit.

(PS.. I do feel for this kid, to perhaps lose his eye/vision at age 10.. I do hope he is well, and has been spared permanent injury, that is scary & horrifying.. )

A 10-year-old Anne Arundel County boy suffered a serious eye injury yesterday at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville when he accidentally stuck a wooden skewer in his eye, a county Fire Department spokesman said.

The boy, whose name was not released, was with his father at a food concession called “Steak on a Stake” about 5 p.m. when he pulled the wooden skewer from his mouth and accidentally stuck it in his eye, Lt. Frank Fennell said.

Fennell said the father immediately took his son to a nearby first-aid station. A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter flew them to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where the boy was admitted to the Wilmer Eye Institute. His condition was not known, Fennell said.
