Gulf Coast (Attention: Louisiana) Round TWO!

in the early evening on Friday, the 29th of August 2008 by Tina

Hurricane Gustav heading for the Gulf.. so will the whiny Louisiana left-overs (& those who returned) have their hands extended for more government handouts, since they chose to rebuild in a fishbowl?

I think anyone who decided to take advantage of the (after hurricane) “bargains” and chose to rebuild in Louisiana should realize the risk they have taken.. The disaster certainly was well “advertised”.. so anyone who stayed or chose that area should be well aware, and evacuate as soon as they can (if they had any sense they would not live there in the 1st place!).

If they insisted on rebuilding New Orleans, they should have built it in a logical fashion. The first thing that should have been done was that they should have fixed the levees to a point that could sustain a Cat 5 hurricaine. Since that region is routinely hit by hurricaines, that was the necessary step (that they failed to take).

It was a stupid a move as if someone had a whole in the bathtub, and the water leaked all over the floor, then then fixed the floor, didn’t fix the leak, and started the water again….

Oh see that would make sense now wouldn’t it.. why would they do a thing like that?

We are all quite capable of believing in anything as long as it's improbable.
