Accuracy

Wi-Fi Sniper RifleFor those of you into guns and computers, we have a Wi-Fi ’sniper rifle’ that mounts a 14.6 dBi Yagi antenna to get your 802.11b signal up to 10 miles.
I wouldn’t recommend using this for wardriving. Cool factor high, common sense factor low.
Although the local law enforcement types might complain a little, this would make a great prop in a low budget sci fi flick.
This does help show the fact that the wireless technology is very flexible. You can have an access point high on a pole or a hill somewhere, and support users for miles around.
Do you have a few separated buildings that you can’t wire between them? Just get the normal directional antennas that are sold in the computer stores now and mount them in windows facing each other. I’ve been supporting a configuration like this for years and it works great.
