Missing Florida toddler story…
in the late afternoon on Thursday, the 14th of August 2008 by Tina
This story just bothers me on so many levels. The family still defends her innocence… but the facts really are damning.
The mother of this child sounds quite soulless. When the (potential) father of her child died, she did not attend the funeral. She has not expressed any sadness over her baby being missing. She obviously has been proven over and over to be a liar.
She also was a young mom, at 19, plus she was a high school drop-out. Her and her baby lived with her parents. Another gem… she also never placed the father on her baby’s birth certificate. Sounds like that was a great relationship huh?
Now one of the charges is neglect.. yet friends and family found her to be a Good Mother. sorry neglect & good mother does not go together. Child services said there were no reports against her, but that does not mean she should not have had reports against her. I have known plenty of people in my life who did not have reports against them, who should have!
An uncle canceled a jail visit, because the bail was not being reduced.. why would you cancel a visit for that reason, seems a reason to continue a visit. Bizarre!
The mother lied about the date, she fessed-up after being caught in her lie, how convenient!
Anthony first reported to have last seen her daughter on June 9, but changed the date later to June 16 when a photo surfaced of Caylee with her grandfather on June 15, Father’s Day, according to the warrant.
She lied about the babysitter… (I love how the apartment the sitter was supposed to have was vacant for 5 months). The woman they found with the name the other gave did not know this woman.
She led police to three different locations where the baby sitter she claims she left Caylee with could be.
She told detectives that Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez had been Caylee’s baby sitter for the past two years and told them where her apartment was. But when police went to the apartment she said belonged to the alleged sitter, they learned it had been vacant for almost five months.
Since then, police have spoke to a woman by that name, which is common, but that Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez did not recognize photos of Caylee or her mother. Investigators have said that her story checks out. They believe Anthony may have tried to impersonate the baby sitter before her arrest by signing her name and writing in a date within the time frame of her daughter’s disappearance during a visit to an apartment complex in the neighborhood.
So she left for work & vacation? Then over a month later the grandma called 911??? And the scent left in the vehicle is very scary. And yet the family stands by her innocence?? The uncle wants her bail reduced, and for that reason won’t visit her?
Lee Anthony said Casey left town with Caylee on June 16 for work and vacation. Almost five weeks later, on July 24, Cindy Anthony dialed 911.
“I found out my granddaughter has been taken, she has been missing for a month, we’re talking about a 3-year-old little girl … I need to find her,” the frantic grandmother said. “I found my daughter’s car today and it smells like there’s a dead body in the damn car.”
There is so much conflicting info against this girl… If she comes out innocent I will be shocked!
