Katrina was 3 years ago.. Get over it!

at around evening time on Friday, the 8th of August 2008 by Tina

Why every time I hear anything about New Orleans they have to include (wahhh) Katrina?? Oh my gosh it was 3 years ago already! Get over it!

I have never seen any place in the US continue to whine as much as they have over a natural disaster that is a given for a certain area. Hurricane’s happen to Florida constantly… how often do we hear them complain?  Wildfires, earthquakes, and other disasters happen in California and with all the liberals out there some how we do not hear them whine either.. they just expect them and deal. Think of the tornado belt, they are so used to tornadoes (they know to handle it, as good as anyone could possibly handle something so frightening) … how often does the news even report it anymore? So many places have a variety of issues, you know about them and you deal if you live there.. or you move to a less risky place (which opted for, I have no desire to live in a hurricane zone).

Not sure what areas are affected by what? Check out this natural disaster’s map. They include blizzards, earthquakes, flash floods, hail, heat waves, hurricanes, ice storms, lake-effect, lightning, monsoon, nor’easters, river floods, thunderstorms, tornados, tsunamis, volcanoes, & wildfires. Click on an item from the list on the left, and the susceptible states will be highlighted. Pretty cool. And explanation and seasons for each is noted at the top of the screen when you click on a disaster.

There is so much (liberal) bias for and pity for New Orleans folk, it is disturbing! The news reports on hurricanes and their path.. and if you saw one coming near you, even kinda near, you start to prepare! I watched hurricanes allot at that time.. and I saw the path that was heading. If I placed a bet I would have won, I saw it was heading for Louisiana! So how did they miss that, and why did they opt to blame the government for their own stupidity. Also the responsibility starts locally not from the federal government. So I have had no pity for their utter stupidity hand extended behavior.. very greedy, very selfish!

So New Orleans is taking an old protest song and plans to alter it to be an anthem for that (whiny) place.

“I Shall Not Be Moved,” when it struck him as the perfect anthem for New Orleans residents still struggling to recover from Hurricane Katrina.

I find some New Orleans (crime) stats fascinating… check these out

  • 2005 to 2006.. the crime rates reduced dramatically.. (and of course the criminals who were washed out of Orleans and went elsewhere, go figure crime increased in those places, hum). Overall percent of change dropped by over 50%
  • Between 2003 and 2004 the rate dropped by less than 1%. I think that says allot.. that the flood/hurricane was GOOD for New Orleans (sadly it was bad for places like Texas! and other places New Orleans “refugees” were sent to.
  • Now as New Orleans residents return, the crime rate is sneaking back up.. check out the 2007 to 2008 stats.

Katrina… they saw it coming, many CHOSE to stay. People in the towers did NOT know what hit them.. THAT was a tragedy.. Katrina WAS NOT.. it was SHEER Stupidity!

  3. Katie Says:

Katrina = natural inevitable disaster. 9/11 = evil attack on innocent civilians by murderous insane radical jihadists.

And, honestly, I think most people have put 9/11 out of their heads. We should never forget the evil that our enemies are capable of.
