Obama on Iraq
mid-afternoon on Saturday, the 2nd of August 2008 by Tina
I get so sick of anyone who goes on about the war in Iraq.. our troops have done so much, and we should be supporting what they are doing. It is tough for so many reasons… to be over there, to be away from home & families, and then to not have the support from home.
Then you have yahoos like this candidate who is wishy-washy on this war… and from one side of his mouth we here him say how he plans to finish it and from the other he basically is insulting it.
AMMAN, Jordan (AP) - Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama [spit] declined Tuesday to rate the Bush administration’s troop surge in Iraq a success despite a reduction in violence, and expressed understanding of Gen. David Petraeus’ opposition to a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops.
Obama: Iraq now needs a political solution
