Gotta wonder what is going on with kids? I know my friend Katie has some theories!!
The following quote is of a 4 year old child! Definitely a friend to have huh?
“I am going to go shoot all my friends!”

I’ve got to believe that this is just the “straw that broke the camel’s back”. The words are completely inappropriate, but coming from a 4 year old - he probably didn’t understand exactly what he was saying.
Basic problem is - we are exposing our kids to things that they can’t comprehend. And being the wonderful, creative sponges that they are, they are trying to piece it all together in ways that make sense to them.
You can’t even watch TV at any “family hour”. Even if you use a blocker, the commercials are horrible. We were watching a perfectly appropriate sci-fi show on the Sci-Fi channel once. Only for the Sci-Fi channel to show graphic commercials for Saw III, a movie that was going to be showing on that channel later in the week. Saw III? That is appropriate. But, then I shouldn’t point fingers at the channel. One of my co-workers said that her kid (4 years old) watched that movie and loved it…. Which is probably how the 4 year old in the above story started…

I still think back to the people I was a live in sitter for back in the 1980’s… they had pre-recorded (no commercials) programs for their kids to watch.. and that was ALL they could watch on tv.
You know what, that is what I would do too if I had kids. It makes sense to me.. i have seen the shows out there and the commericals in between and it is horrifying.
