Teen Birth Rate and Homicides Are Up

Well this ties in nicely with my previous posts on the media/Hollywood glorifying babies and teen pregnancies! ARGH!

And this is even worse for kids in foster care. Like these kids need more issues in their lives… add a kid to that scenario!

The “upside” they note.. few 8th graders are smoking. Oh gee that is just a sigh of relief huh? But unchanged for 10-12th graders… of course those will be smoking (drinking & drug using) teen-mothers eh?

Add more joy to this.. increase in teens in violent crimes & homicides!

This is just “wonderful” news…. (note my sarcasm in this please!). I am utterly disgusted by this. How on earth are teens involved in more violence, more drugs, more drinking, and more pregnancies!?

According to a new government report, the number of teens giving birth has risen for the first time in 15 years. For every one thousand young women, between the ages of 15 and 17, twenty-two will give birth.
