Chrysler LLC – Refuel America - $2.99 Gas Guarantee

I have been curious about the $2.99 guarantee that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep are offering. I figured there would be a lot of small print to it, and yep there is. Anyhow for those who feel compelled to get one of these crappy vehicles this offer is good until the end of July… I wish you luck!

So the details…

12k miles a year, if you do not use the miles you do lose them.
If gas is under $2.99, you will still pay $2.99
Offer is only for 3 years.
Offer ONLY good at select pumps (I checked for the entire Colorado Springs area within 50 miles and there are only 5 participating stations).
It will take 4-6 weeks to get your gas card.
87 octane, E85 or diesel… and you must stick with the gas specified for your vehicle or there are excess charges.
Bring back up (money) to the pump, if you reach your allotment for that annual period you can not use the card.
Can not receive any other incentives, APR specials, etc.
Ineligible: all SRT models, Sprinter, Viper, Crossfire, Wrangler Unlimited, Ram Chassis Cab, & Challenger.
There is a specific allotted gallons per eligible models ranging from 1,500 up to 2,400 per year.
The models that are part of this are 24 mpg or under.
- Dodge: Caliber, Avenger, Charger & RT, Magnum & RT, Grand Caravan, Journey, Nitro, Durango, Dakota Club/ Quad Cab, Ram Regular/Quad/Mega Cabs, Ram HD Regular/Quad/Mega Cabs.
- Chrysler: Pt Cruiser & Convertible, Sebring Sedan & Convertible, 300 & 300c, Pacifica, & Aspen.
- Jeep: Commander, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Compass & Patriot

The 2,400 allotted gallons is for models that have 15mpg. So while “saving” some on gas, you would save far more in a car that gets 30 mpg, without the gas guarantee.

Aside from the horrible gas mileage that the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep lineup get, you also get the most unreliable vehicles available… no wonder they find the need to make such offers! Again good luck if you are pondering these vehicles.
