Tomorrow

in the early afternoon on Sunday, the 27th of July 2008 by Chad

I dread tomorrow a bit.

Nah, nothing bad happening, I just haven’t left the house in a month except for Dr. visits and twice weekly to the grocery store a mile away.

But tomorrow I am heading back to the office.  Luckily I have been able to work from home, even the hospital room over this last month.  I’ve got the right kind of job that I can do that.

Generally when I work from home I start earlier, work later, and do more total work anyway.  A few nights I was coding until dark, which is much tougher to do in the summer!

Saved a ton of dough, not having to pay about 5$ in gas daily for the round trip, and not going out to eat every day for lunch.  The savings will go a long way towards defraying our medical costs.  Last I checked, the bill was over 50k$ for all the costs for the 4 days in the hospital plus everything else since.  Our insurance has an out of pocket maximum of 2k$ which I’m sure we’ll hit, so that is all we’ll have to pay.

So tonight I turn on my alarm clock for the first time in a while.  I’ll have to get up, have breakfast, get dressed and go.  And to those that know me, yes I have been getting dressed every morning.  Sheesh.  And then I’ll drive into work, settle myself into the cubicle, and continue doing just what I’ve been doing.

Of course, my Monday isn’t quite as bad as this guys:

My friend, one thing you have to learn... there is always time for beer!
