This is a PS to Chad’s post (pix) from our 4th of July trip… We headed just west of Colorado Springs into Woodland Park (& beyond). GORGEOUS! Beautiful trails to enjoy, awesome scenery! (looking forward to my sprained ankle to heal, so we can enjoy more trails, and to share gorgeous pix with you all!

We were on the Edge of an Ancient Volcano!

And things have not changed much in over 100 years!

The reservoir was awesome… see below…

The above two were also from the reservoir.. really just a wonderful place to bring a camera! (Great trails, and boating too!)

Some trees just have such a neat shape. I also thought it was neat how nature landscapes! Pretty huh?

Yep you are pretty much looking DOWN on those clouds.. and yes that white on that mountain is snow!

I could have stayed in this spot awhile.. sooo pretty! You can look STRAIGHT down..

Note: this missing rails here.. creepy to look Straight down the side of a mountain, yike! One step and you were off a cliff!

Here is where we met the storm (nice size sleet.. note the white stuff on the dirt road). Kinda freaky to be on a mountain with a heavy storm like that!

This storm was over (they don’t last long), and you can see Colorado Springs, and the Garden of the Gods there.. I wanted to get more pix, but well my battery was done,….
