This is good

Attention all you global warming fans. I will risk another comment. This is hysterical

OK, I know, I am personally killing off at least a hundred bird species with my mini van, but, try the survey. Once you have found your global footprint, go to the bottom of the page. Go to the “New, carbon offset quotation tool” at the bottom. Enter the amount that you wish to be “cleansed” of. Global taxes come to mind. So, in order for me to drive my mini van to Maine weekly, just because I want a yummy lobster roll, all I have to do is send my hard earned money out of my country, and invest in Kenya, Brazil or India. Gee, didn’t we already send all of our jobs to India, now they want my money to build hotels?

Now I beg of you, please do not feel the need to donate at the end of this exercise. I couldn’t live with myself afterwards… But, if you really want to throw your money and cleanse your carbon soul - please donate to my kids’ college funds, I’ll even send you a carbon footprint coupon…

Damnit, can’t find the comment you made about the reporters all being democrats. But here’s a great quote I found from Martin Shoemaker at Dean’s World:

If 9 out of 10 scientists who served on a food safety review were stockholders of the food manufacturer, the media would (rightly) question their objectivity. Even if the scientists swore up and down to be objective, the media would (rightly) point out just how difficult it is to be objective in such a one-sided environment.

Yet when 8 out of 10 reporters vote for a single party, none of them will point out just how difficult it is to be objective in such a one-sided environment. Instead, they’ll start looking for instances of bias in the 2 out of 10, so that those 2 can be marginalized and ignored.

Story just came out yesterday. 9 out of 10 journalists contribute to liberal candidates. Gee, there’s no possibility of bias do you think. One of the journalists listed was contributing to Kerry at the same time that he was embedded with the troops in Iraq. Another was an anti war activist. And let’s be honest, the best “contribution” that journalists can give to a candidate is a good spin on their stories.

Of course, this is coming out at the same time that Washington is attacking Radio Talk shows. They are thinking about reenacting the fairness doctrine (Air America ring any bells? - it was a miserable failure, so now they want to force successful stations to air that tripe).

But, it isn’t just the democrats that are attacking Radio Talk at this point, the pro amnesty Republicans are also out for blood.
