Who really needs spanked?

California is at it again…

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California parents could face jail and a fine for spanking their young children under legislation a state lawmaker has promised to introduce next week.Democratic Assemblywoman Sally Lieber said such a law is needed because spanking victimizes helpless children and breeds violence in society.

I think they’re the ones that need to be taken out and spanked… But there would of course need to be a religious exemption.  Wonder how they’ll handle that one?

Religious exemption - in California? Only if you are a pot smoking member of the Manson clan… But seriously, big brother watching you in your own home and arresting you for disciplining your own children… How hard of a spank? A slight swat? Or the two by four with holes drilled in? Next, they’ll arrest me for harsh language…

i do think punishment for spanking children is a little harsh.in the bible it says,”spare the rod and spoil the child.”i am a strong believer in this verse.

Our son and his family live in CA, and I have seen where this spanking phobia has been a real detriment to their children’s upbringing. Their excuse is that they can’t spank their kids in public (my guess is they don’t at home either) for fear of being arrested. I’m sorry, but my grandchildren have needed a swat on the fanny when I have been around them. That doesn’t happen though. Their mother just sits on her arse and eventually they wear her down and get their way. Someday, those kids are going to have to be out in the real world where there are consequences for bad behavior. I see this as shirking responsibility, not child abuse. CA should be ashamed!!
