The Bobby
in the early afternoon on Friday, the 24th of November 2006 by Chad
Oh yes, Thanksgiving is over. What to do with the leftovers?
Simply make the best sandwich ever. The Bobby, of Capriotti’s fame.
Go grab a long torpedo sub roll. Sourdough is cool too if you’re into that kinda thing.
Slice in half, at a 15 degree angle off the horizontal. This is so the sandwich stays together while eating.
Scoop out a bit of the bread from the inside, careful not to go too deep.
Put down a nice layer of Mayo.
Shred your leftover turkey. And believe it or not, the turkey is best if it is a little dry on this sandwich. Put down a nice thick layer.
On goes the stuffing! Yes, your normal Stove Top stuffing goes on the sandwich too.
And finally, a spread of canned cranberry sauce. Oh yes, you must add the cranberry sauce, and there are no substitutions on this sandwich allowed.
Close the lid tightly, and wrap in butcher paper, Saran Wrap, or something else for about 10 minutes.
Enjoy!
