Rant #1 for the Day

mid-morning on Monday, the 30th of October 2006 by Chad

Why oh why can’t McDonalds figure out how to keep eggshells out of their McMuffins?  C’mon, teach your people on the grill to crack the eggs not on the egg rings, but on the flat of the grill.

Whoa! You mean they use real eggs in those things? I always thought they were powdered eggs… or those pourable eggs that come in the milk carton.

  2. Chad Says:

They use a metal frame that has 6 egg rings in it with a removable metal cover. That sits right on the grill. You crack in 6 eggs, close the lid, fill the little container on top of the lid with water, and it will steam the eggs while grilling at the same time.
I think once the water container (its only like an ounce or so of water) is empty the eggs are done, if not its on a timer.
But as every Alton fan knows, cracking the eggs on the side of anything will result in eggshell being pushed into the eggs. Crack it on a flat surface and you’re all set!
