Via today’s .FoxNews Headline:
“The brother of the top Shiite cleric killed in a bombing last week, himself a member of the U.S.-selected Iraqi Governing Council, blasted coalition forces for lax security Tuesday and asked them to leave the country.”

Via Saturday’s New York Times:
“There were no American forces in the vicinity, as senior Najaf clergymen had made it clear they did not want troops patrolling anywhere near the holy site.”

Can you imagine the headlines from 1943 going on about how the frenchies didn’t want german troops around the eiffel tower? And they accepted that rule? Sheesh.
Someone needs to set these guys straight that we went to war against Iraq. We won, so we make the rules. Now, we’re as magnaminous as they come, so we’re going to be as nice as possible about it, but we’re not leaving until our job is done.
