Tin-Foil

Our “beloved” General is at it again. Wesley Clark is claiming that the White House has it out for him so they tried to get him fired from CNN. OK, so the guy almost starts a larger war in Europe during the Balkan crisis, and gets fired as NATO commander by Clinton. Then he shows up as a commentator on a second-rate news network (CNN) forecasting gloom and doom and tens of thousands of US casualties. And the new White House obviously has it against this nutcase, so they’re trying to get him fired by CNN.

“The White House actually back in February apparently tried to get me knocked off CNN and they wanted to do this because they were afraid that I would raise issues with their conduct of the war,” Clark told Newsradio 620 KTAR. “Apparently they called CNN. I don’t have all the proof on this because they didn’t call me. I’ve only heard rumors about it.”

Wait a second! Suddenly its rumours. This is the kind of thing that CNN would have all over the news if they were pressured by a Republican government. CNN only keeps quiet about this kind of stuff if third world dictators try extortion.
So, not only is Wesley Clark a Communist, but now he is a paranoid nutjob. Going to the press saying the big bad White House is out to get him because of his views about quagmires and such. But almost every talking head pundit just like him was parroting the same damn lines. And none of them were pressured to be fired. I don’t see any stifling of dissent. It seemed more to me that the White House was cautiously amused by the gloom and doom predictions that were so far off of reality…

Insisting on the accuracy of his military analysis of the Iraq War, Clark said, “No one ever complained about my analysis being partisan except for [House Majority Leader] Tom DeLay and he’s hardly an unbiased source,” Clark told KTAR.
“I was anything but biased. I was 100 percent objective. I called it right and I stand by the results,” he said.

So, he said tens of thousands US troops would be killed, fighting would go on for years, etc. And he still thinks he is accurate. This guy is so paranoid and off his rocker he sounds just like a Democratic candidate for President! Wait a minute…
